Mike Gordon an event co-founder and award winning home winemaker said that, “this event has proven to be a hidden gem in itself.  It’s just a delightful afternoon of sipping wine accompanied by delicious appetizers and music. The event is always held in a gorgeous private and exclusive setting not normally open to the public and is a relaxing and engaging affair.”

Gordon added that, “the enthusiastic purchase at auction of the award winning wines from the prior years’ Hidden Gems events has proven that the event showcases some terrific wines.  This event allows us to all share our ‘Hidden Gems’ with the public, conduct a good-hearted professionally judged competition, and raise some much needed funds to help those less fortunate.”  Judges for this year’s event include Michael Cervin, “News Press” Food columnist; David Michael Cane, local wine critic and radio personality; and Laurie Jervis, wine writer at the “Wine Times.”

Gordon said that the professional judging is extremely helpful to him and other winemakers in terms of objectively gauging how well they are doing.  “Its realcasinoclub.com one thing for your family to love your wine and it’s another matter entirely when professionals provide a positive response or criticism that allows us to improve,” he said.

At the conclusion of the event, the wines of award winning wine makers will be made available at auction for a donation to People Helping People.
