PHP’s financial statements undergo an audit by an independent C.P.A. each year. PHP has consistently received an “unqualified” opinion in the over ten years that PHP has received an audit. For Fiscal Year 2015-16, PHP did not receive a management letter, which means there were no accounting issues that needed to be addressed.

People Helping People’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. The most current audited financial statements available are from fiscal year 2015-16. PHP’s overhead costs remain extremely low as a percentage of total expense. Administrative expenses in 2015-16 were a total of 3% of expense.

“PHP continues on a very prudent financial path designed by its Board and staff to invest in services to meet the communities needs while creating reserves to fulfill its obligation to sustain the organization into the future. Expansions in services have primarily come through collaborations with local schools, regional universities, and other high performing non-profit organizations. Simultaneously, by continuing conservative spending, PHP’s reserves are now at 53% of goal after only 3 years of its 7 year plan.”
