People Helping People (PHP) has been selected to receive the Los Olivos Rotary Club’s proceeds from the upcoming Blues and Q’s concert and BBQ dinner. The event will be held on Saturday September 21st starting at 5:30 PM at the Solvang Festival Theater.
The Blues and Q’s fundraiser features blues singer Laura Schlieske and Band with Bear Erickson and a full pulled pork BBQ dinner by the Los Olivos Rotary Club. Dinner will be accompanied by the musical group Mighty Mississippi. Beer and wine will be available.
According to Bob Dullea, Los Olivos Rotary Club Member, our Club decided to help PHP by donating to its domestic violence prevention program, ADCAP (Advocates for Domestic & Child Abuse Prevention) program. Dullea said, “(W)e have contributed small amounts over the years to assist PHP stop domestic violence. However we wanted to do more and selected this fundraising event as a way to do that.”
